Brilliant Play

Just one day after the supposed "greatest speech in history", John McCain has the press saying "Obama Who?" with his surprise pick of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin for his VP candidate.

It was thoroughly enjoyable watching Andrea Mitchell try to be unbiased this morning. The poor woman looked like she was gonna be sick.

Regardless the poo-pooing of the tin-foil crowd on MSNBC, the truth is that they are now scared.

They did not expect this, and they do not like to be out-smarted by the likes of McCain.

For those of you who may be a little jittery about her experience, and the extent to which this may be used against the McCain campaign.........let me put your minds at ease.

The "experience" issue is exactly WHY this is a brilliant pick.

Hillary Clinton tried for months to make Obama's non-existent resume' an issue in the campaign to no avail.

The syncophants in the mainstream press guarded his butt the whole way along.

So how to deal with such an issue if you are John McCain?

Very simple: Put Obama in a position where he will make experience the issue all on his own.

Considering that Obama was an invisible Senator with almost no voting record and zero accomplishments to his name, I believe that if the contest is going to be over experience, Obama will lose quite badly.

And guess what?

It will be an argument that he started all on his own.

Well played President McCain, well played.

Good to see her husband trimmed off the mullet before the announcement.
